New Petition Against Sludge
In 2003 EPA denied a petition to ban sludge
submitted by 63 organizations. Since that time, food contamination
and illness as well as deaths have increased. In 1999 over 76
million people were infected by food and many died. Today, we have a
new president and new leaders in the responsible agencies. We need a
ground swell of support by the public for a new petition. The goal
is one million signatures.

Virginia Sewage Sludge
Victims File Lawsuit in Sussex Surry, Virginia
A review of these court papers show what we have believed all along:
EPA/Industry have no scientific facts. Instead, they try to snow those in
power with manipulated facts in hopes they can pull the wool over
their eyes. While this has worked in the past, we now hope to set the record
straight. Read on....

Loudoun County Petition
Did you know that in Loudoun County there
have been scores of cases of illness that may be associated with sludge.
These illnesses include: respiratory illnesses including pneumonia, sinus
infections, asthma, allergies, burning eyes, nose, throat and lungs, flu-like
symptoms, nausea, vomiting, severe headache, breathing complications, rectal
bleeding, nose bleeds, skin rash and lesions? There are also cases of
a rare cardiomyopathy heart disease, miscarriages, and cancers.
A concentration of
cancer cases has been reported by a resident who lives near a field spread with
sludge for approximately the last ten years.
The cases stated above only represent reported illnesses. Most county residents do not know what sludge
is, much less that it can potentially cause illness.
Please sign our petition below. In the next box
provided you may make comments about sludge, or describe an illness you believe
may be linked to sludge. Be on the alert for the new sludge season beginning soon.

Alleged Federal Government Fraud
Recent qui tam
lawsuit alleges fraud against the federal
government. It alleges that EPA, Georgia local government
agencies, and the sludge industry conspired to knowingly use
fraudulent data in peer-reviewed studies to support sludge use,
and defeat a farmers lawsuit claiming sludge destroyed his dairy
farm. The farmer eventually prevailed.
