Map of Sludge Application in Loudoun County, Virginia |
||||||||||||||||||
|
The above map highlights those parcels where Class "B" sludge has been applied. It does not include Class "A" or "EQ". Data obtained from Loudoun County Health Dept in January 2003 include the total number of wet tons applied between 1999 and 2002. Note: There are several farm parcels not displayed on the above
map. Sludge was applied at the Brown Farm west
of Waterford and other McIntosh fields, but as of January 28, 2003
no data was made available from the Health Dept. On 4/4/2002
updates were requested, but no response has been received. Detailed large-format sludge map (33" x 44" - Adobe format - 10 MB)

Compilation of actual maps submitted by
Above are two sample cropped sections of maps submitted to Department of Health in 2003. Records were copied and scanned. Some of the originals were in color, but scanning is only black and white. These maps were generally found to be substantially below the requirements as set forth in the Loudoun County Chapter 1090 Biosolids Ordinance and generally are deemed by Loudoun NATS to be inadequate scientific representations, lacking details to afford adequate technical review. Furthermore, there was no evidence found in the files that actual applications conformed to the areas as depicted on the maps.
